Okay y’all, I have to be honest with you. Social media is hard for me! I constantly find myself going through phases where I post regularly, but struggle with enjoying cooking because the focus becomes about capturing the recipe rather than enjoying creating and cooking. I need to find a better balance of consistency with posting as well as nights where I am not capturing. All that being said, here is a delicious recipe that takes 15 minutes to prepare!
What you need:
Serving size 2
1 1/2 cup of Brussel sprouts
1/2 of an onion
Two slices of bacon or can sub for pancetta
2 table spoons of balsamic glaze
1 table spoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
1 teaspoon of onion salt
1 teaspoon of lemon pepper
1/2 a teaspoon of red pepper chili flakes
Desired amount of tortellini
3 table spoons of parmesan cheese
Directions:
Boil desired amount of tortellini in a pot and drain and set aside
Slice brussel sprouts thinly (should be able to get them into thirds or fourths), dice onion, and thinly slice bacon
In a large skillet on high add brussel sprouts, bacon, and onion and olive oil
Sauté while mixing evenly allowing onions to carmelize and bacon to crisp
Add all seasonings and half of the balsamic glaze and continue to mix until the onions, bacon, and brussel sprouts are cooked (should be about ten minutes)
Add in tortellini, parmesan cheese, and the rest of the balsamic glaze and mix evenly
Serve and enjoy!
