Pesto Turkey and Club Melt

I love getting fresh buns from the store and creating new sandwiches for Sunday Football! This sandwich is easy and a crowd pleaser.
What you need:
Sliced Turkey
Pesto - I use my fresh kale and spinach pesto
Desired cheese, I used Swiss and Mozzarella
Mixed Greens
Sliced Tomato
Bacon
Onion
Mayonaise
Fresh Buns or Bread
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
In skillet, cook bacon until crispy and then set aside
With leftover grease sauté onions until caramelized and set aside with Bacon
Apply mayonnaise to buns, and set in oven with mayo side facing up for 6 minutes to warm and toast buns
In skillet, place turkey first, then caramelized onions, and then cheese - cover for two minutes while cooking on medium heat to allow cheese to melt and turkey to crisp
Pull buns out of the oven, apply desired amount of pesto, and then place the turkey melt on top adding bacon, mixed greens and tomato as well
Serve and enjoy!
